For most of my life, this time of year has meant a pilgrimage of sorts to Shiloh National Military Park in Hardin County, southwestern Tennessee. Being a native Tennessean, with strong family connections to the state's history, the story of Shiloh was relayed to me at a young age.

I was too young to remember my first visit, which exists now as only a faint family story. My parents took me because they felt it was important that I start to understand history at an early age. Since then, I have traveled to Shiloh many times in many different capacities, with a host of people I have managed to drag along.

The promise is always of a good day to be had, traipsing through the woods and looking at monuments. I am happy to say that no one has been disappointed in the experience. Featuring more than 20 paintings and works on paper from the Museum's permanent collection,Picturing Land and Seaexplored how artists perceive and portray the natural world. From romantic depictions of the American wilderness to colorful, geometric renderings of the French countryside, this exhibition highlighted key stylistic movements from the past 150 years. With that in mind, we'd like to invite you to a virtual college fair for selective liberal arts colleges. This pandemic has underscored the ways individual behavior affects our communities. At Rhodes, our Honor Code and our campus commitment to service already give us experience in community building and support for shared values.

Our ability to return to campus and remain on campus for the semester rests in large part on the willingness of our community members to support both the letter and the spirit of our health and safety plan. MEMPHIS, Tenn. — COVID-19 has changed everyone's way of life and the way we do things. With the whole country looking for answers and solutions to reopening everything, school systems and colleges are coming up with plans for the fall semester that will come in the next few months.

When you graduate, you automatically become a member of the IMU Alumni Association, which has over 13,000 alumni members around the world. This would provide you access to a dynamic alumni network for career and lifelong learning support, enable alumni to engage with one another and contribute to their alma mater and community. Central to the life of the college is its Honor Code, administered by students through the Honor Council. In addition to taking specially offered courses, students have the opportunity to work with the Curb Institute through its fellowships program. As Mike Curb Fellows, students can gain experience in public relations, marketing, video production, audio production, community engagement, and extensive research/writing projects. However, President Diehl's most significant change to the college came in 1925, when he orchestrated the movement of the campus from Clarksville to its present location in Memphis, Tennessee .

The move provided an increase in financial contributions and student enrollment, and, despite the Great Depression and World War II, the college began to grow. In 1945, the college adopted its penultimate name Southwestern at Memphis in order to distinguish itself from other colleges and universities containing the name "Southwestern." On the 14th of each month, September through December, we will come together to offer "15 Minutes of Tips" for the college application process followed by an hour-long virtual college fair. Each institution will have its own Zoom room for students to meet with an admission officer and when available a current student or alum. The format is the same every month with different opening topics and tips.

Join representatives from Bates, Davidson, Oberlin, and Occidental to learn more about academic opportunities at their institutions, financial aid, and the residential college experience. Hear a variety of perspectives on academic programs, philosophies, and traditions that make our colleges a home for our students. From current students, to faculty and staff, to parents and alumni, the St. John's community instills the importance of giving back. On Saturday, November 21, 2020, the American Rhodes Scholar Class of 2020 was elected. These 32 outstanding students will commence their studies at Oxford in October 2021. They were selected from a pool of 953 applicants who had been nominated by their colleges and universities. They will now complete their applications to begin courses at Oxford next year, widely across the University's academic disciplines. Our chief aim is to ensure that all Wildcat students are afforded every opportunity to experience both social and academic success. There is no doubt that our students will be challenged to reach higher than perhaps they thought possible but our professional and support staff are committed to providing the necessary support. My name is Rick Flores and it is my honor and privilege to lead our Jeremiah Rhodes Middle School as principal this school year.

I am a product of San Antonio ISD and look forward to serving the learning community with the highest level of excellence. As a former student, I attended Storm Elementary, Lowell Middle School and Burbank High School. As a first-generation university graduate I earned concurrent BA degrees in Sociology and Music Education from Texas Lutheran University.

In 2001, I earned my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Schreiner University. In 2018, Mr. Flores earned his superintendent certification from Texas A&M-San Antonio and this past January he began his doctoral journey at Texas Tech University. We have set aside quarantine space for students who develop Covid-19 during the semester and who are unable to return home.

Our health care system partner will provide medical support for students, faculty, and staff in on-campus isolation or quarantine. The college has to create a health and safety protocol plan that appropriately reduces risk for students, faculty, and staff. The academic year consists of two semesters, each containing fourteen weeks of instruction and a fifteenth week devoted to examinations.

The first semester begins in late August and ends in mid-December; the second semester begins in January and ends in early May. Summer course offerings consist of two 5 week sessions as well as various academic study programs offered across the curriculum. A detailed calendar including dates of recesses and special academic days is included in the catalogue, and may be found elsewhere on the website. Our approach to learning combines the best aspects of a great research university and an outstanding liberal arts college.
